OCBF has set in motion a Kingdom Agenda, our comprehensive worldview and philosophy of life and ministry. The Kingdom Agenda is defined as the visible demonstration of the comprehensive rule of God over every area of life. This rule is reflected through the four divinely ordained spheres of the individual, the family, the church and the government.
Before Dallas became the vibrant city it is today, it was home to Native American tribes, primarily the Caddo people. The area evolved rapidly with the arrival of European settlers in the 1840s, and Dallas was officially incorporated in 1856. The city rose to prominence in the late 1800s with the expansion of the railroad and has continued to thrive as a center of commerce and innovation.
In the early 20th century, Dallas became a major player in the cotton and oil industries, laying the foundation for its growth as a commercial hub. The city’s dedication to culture and education flourished, creating landmarks such as the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Today, Dallas is celebrated as a multicultural city with a rich heritage that shines through in its vibrant neighborhoods, festivals, and culinary scene.
