THE HISTORY OF DALLAS

Before Dallas became the vibrant city it is today, it was home to Native American tribes, primarily the Caddo people. The area evolved rapidly with the arrival of European settlers in the 1840s, and Dallas was officially incorporated in 1856. The city rose to prominence in the late 1800s with the expansion of the railroad and has continued to thrive as a center of commerce and innovation.

In the early 20th century, Dallas became a major player in the cotton and oil industries, laying the foundation for its growth as a commercial hub.
